Range describes the distance in areas from the source to the target that an action allows or the distance from the source if a constant effect that is effected. The distance is measured as the shortest distance that only steps from an area to an adjacent area, not including 45° angles. For instance, each cell is below filled with the distance from the area labeled "0". The 0 is also range 0 from itself.

Permanents ranges define the distance in areas that this card may effect with abilities or constant effects. For actions the source is the player's leader so range is measured from the leader.
